INNER ODYSSEY

A Journey Through Yoga & Breath

Co-Facilitated by Renee Koczkodan & Dr. Karestan Koenen

Inner Odyssey is an immersive movement and breathwork experience designed to strengthen the body, regulate the nervous system, and expand awareness through the power of the breath.

This workshop follows a clear and intentional arc — guiding participants from grounded embodiment into expanded breath states, and then into quiet integration.

It is both structured and spacious. Both physiological and experiential.

A training of the breath — and a journey inward.

The Arc of the Experience

Each Inner Odyssey Workshop Unfolds In Five Phases

Alignment-Based Movement (~30 minutes)

Movement rooted in experiential anatomy prepares the body and respiratory system for deeper work.
Sequencing is intentional and steady, building awareness, stability, and breath capacity.

Supported Downshift

One to two supported postures allow the nervous system to settle and transition from activation toward stillness.

Savasana

A brief pause to recalibrate before breath practice begins.

Guided Psychedelic Breathwork Journey (~60 minutes)

An immersive breathwork experience led by Dr. Karestan Koenen.

Integration (10–15 minutes)

Time for quiet self-reflection, journaling, or silent processing before we close the circle together.

The Progression Is Deliberate

prepare → regulate → expand → integrate.

The Breathwork

Psychedelic Breathwork / DVRM

The breathwork practiced in Inner Odyssey is rooted in DVRM (Dynamic Variable Resistance Modulation), taught by David Magone, and is also known as psychedelic breathwork.

This method combines structured breathing patterns, breath retention, variable pacing, and subtle resistance techniques to influence respiratory chemistry and nervous system states.

From A Physiological Perspective

This Work Can

  • Improve respiratory efficiency

  • Increase carbon dioxide tolerance

  • Support vagal tone

  • Strengthen stress resilience

  • Enhance emotional regulation

From An Experiential Perspective

This Work Can

  • Heightened internal imagery

  • Emotional release

  • Altered sensory perception

  • Deep introspection

  • Expanded awareness

The Experiance Is Deliberate

These altered states are self-generated through breath — no substances involved.

The experience can feel powerful, illuminating, grounding, or cathartic. Each person’s journey is unique.

The breath becomes both anchor and portal.
